Dock lock issue.... help please?

Hey all-
It's been a minute I have been real busy enjoying my 4Runner. Quick question anyone had any issues with the driver side solenoid malfunctioning when you use the keyless entry to unlock the car?
I thought it might be a low battery in the key...wishful thinking I know, but changed that and it didn't fix it... Then pulled off the panel to see if possible the wire came out of the door panel, that didn't happen... I re-greased the door wire and still no go...

Wanted to see if anyone had any other ideas before I take it into the dealership?
It's probably the door solenoid but when the dealership takes off my door panel and sees that I have replaced the speaker and done sound deadening in the doors I'm sure it's going to be a fight to get them to replace it under warranty.
Thanks for any help.

I don't doubt they may try to blame other mods but pretty hard to prove the liner or speakers have anything to do with the solenoid. I can't offer any other suggestion than having it looked at. Is it working if you use the fob to unlock and only a issue with the touch unlock?

My passenger front gave out as I was signing the papers to buy the truck. It would jam the latch and not allow the door to be opened. After they put a new latch in it was GTG. For some reason I think it was around $200 for the latch?

The issue is when I hit the unlock button on the door panel or the key fob it doesn't unlock or lock (driver side door only all other doors work) unless I use the key outside or manually click it on the inside... Looks like I'll have to take a trip to the dealership... It's only fun working on these cars when you're doing MODs!
I appreciate the feedback!

After coming from other makes I'm ok with a small repair here and there. The others was constants work.

I'm pretty sure the door latch comes out pretty easy in these guys. I just did a rear door latch in a MkIV Jetta and that was a nightmare!!

With the door open, close the latch with a screw driver and then operate the door lock. If it starts to not work, tap on the door where the latch is with a mallet while operating the actuator; if it starts working again, have the dealer replace the actuator as it is going weak. We see it on some of the Toyotas from time to time.

The actuator was toast!
Got it all fixed thanks!
But now I hear a rattle somewhere... Arrrrrgh...
