SHORT VERSION:
Does anyone know if the rear sway bar (with extensions), will limit droop enough to stop Kings w/OME 890 coils from bottoming out?
Long:
I installed King's front and rear with OME 890 coils last year, and ditched my rear swaybar. I partially daily drive it in San Diego, and have never noticed the crazy body roll everyone talks about, so I've never seen a reason to put it back on. However, I was able to get the rear up on my buddies new lift in his garage the other day, and with the rear hanging at full droop I still had about 0.75in left of travel in the shocks. I thought that meant I'd be good to go, but for shits we hooked up a bottle jack and were able to reach full extension of the shocks (well close enough, I didn't dare extend them past 0.25in left of shock travel, just in case).
I realize this means I need limit straps, or something to stop the shocks from bottoming out. I didn't have my rear swaybar with me, so I couldn't install it to test and see if this would fix the issue until I can get around to doing the limit straps. For 95% of the stuff I do with the truck I think i'm fine, but I do like to drive fast, so one really good wash or unseen bump and I'm betting it could create enough rebound force to droop the rear enough to bottom out the shocks.
Any help would be greatly appreciated.
Just to keep some interest.... here's the truck on my buddies lift
