Does your 4Runner lean on the Driver Side

EDIT: THIS IS AN OLD THREAD THAT WAS RESURRECTED, PLEASE DO NOT BEAT THE OP :)

Maybe it's just me or my driveway, but it seems like the 4Runner leans "heavily" on the drivers side?

Anyone else?

I had not noticed any lean, but out of curiosity I went out to my garage to measure the height. I'm sitting 1/2 inch lower on the driver's side. The tank is about 80% full.

Aside from designing the gas tank to straddle the driveline, I don;t see how some lean can be avoided. If you try an counter the lean of a full gas tank, it will lean the other way when the tank is more than half-empty.

FTR: 24 Gal x 6.073 Lbs = 145.752 Lbs. That's a like carrying another passenger.

With rear FJ springs, plus rear DS 1.5, the right rear is approximately 1/4" higher than the rear driver side. Most likely from gas tank, which was about 1/2 full.

I measured all 4 corners prior to doing my front spacer install, and noticed I was a 1/2 inch lower on the driver's side. I also had a full tank of gas.

Measured again (post-lift) when I had a little less than a 1/4 tank, and it was pretty even all the way around.

My front was lower/heavier on the drivers side, but with about a quarter inch of adjustment on the toytec coilover, it sits even now.

Too bad the tank isn't on the passenger side. I don't want people thinking I am
the reason for the lean. (aka my fat ass is causing it) :hungry:

I wonder if the dealer could install a 1/2" rear driver side spacer free of charge to fix the visable lean... (I know I'm probably dreaming)

Mine has the ghetto lean also. It a TE and has a lean. Took it to the dealership and said it was not leaning enough to worry about it.

sometimes I hate these forums, lol, i never noticed it now I noticed it tonight after reading this...mine is off 1/4 to 1/2 inch with a full tank now.....damn these post! Also got my first ding this wkd....after reading others on this forum talking about theirs....karma! Good news, I have learned alot and got alot of good advice...:thanks::thumb3:

Oh crap , it's midnight and now I have to go out and measure or I wont be able to sleep..................... F**k !!!

Ok just came back in , tire pressures are all equal and tank is at 85% full and I lean a 1/2" lower on the right (PASSANGER SIDE ) go figure ........
