Don't these accessories effect the radiator?

When I mounted my Hayden Tranny Cooler I was concerned that setting it right on the radiator, with the supplied mounting system, would block a lot of airflow to the radiator, so I mounted it forward a few inches to the frame work. This, in my mind, allowed better airflow to the radiator.

Now that I'm looking at LED light bar options, I'm seeing them mounted in the air intake areas of the bumper and grilles. They look great, but it concerns me again with the airflow.

Isn't this an issue?
Excuse my ignorance, I haven't worked on trucks much, but did work on dirtbikes back in the day. We were always worried about airflow and cooling systems.

Not really. The dirtbikes were most likely air cooled, here we have air & water to increase the efficiency quite a bit.

Did you have 4wd? By passing the factory trans cooler? If so, there is a huge reduction in cooling requirements of the radiator in the by pass.

By putting the tranny cooler several inches in front of the a/c condensor will help dissipate heat when the vehicle is moving But when stopped because you have several inches of space, you also have created no air flow from the radiator fan. Something to think about if the vehicle spends much time in stop n go traffic in above 90 degree outside temps. :cowboy:

Correct. If the cooler is not close to the radiator (or condenser) the fan probably won't pull enough air through it to cool in traffic. The cooler won't add much heat or restrict airflow significantly. These trucks also have a very efficient cooling system. Overheating is not a problem, unless you have a problem!

Dirtbikes were air cooled but mostly water cooled now, we still worried about airflow. BUT what I was missing was the point about the fans use while stopped.
