I found it and will share it no charge! Download the Zip here. Free Fast File Download 3216067-Download_27_7_Mb_1996_-_2002_Toyota_4runner_Factory_Service_Manual_Fsm_Repair_Manual_Workshop_Manual_-_Toyota_4-runner_Zip_-_Pdf_Format.zip
Then create a folder and move the Zip file to it. Click WinZip and Extract to here. Please note that i use Firefox. See the screen shots. Click Local Files and then click either repair or wiring. The last screen shot shows the result. Nice thing is you can work offline. The folder "techinfo.toyota.com" contains all the PDF docs but are unfortunately not named.

I have no clue on how to navigate, the names are useless of these folders, I click a few times and i end up at a PDF, and i'm sure it's great but i have to figure out what each folder is.

It looks like the best way to navigate this FSM is to always open the "contents" file and then click the individual links.

Raydouble's link is the one I use all the time even though I have all the files stored on my Windows machine. I wish I could find a version exclusive to 99-00 though. The differences in wiring, emission components, and lack of VSC and trac can throw some kinks in diagnostic procedures or parts ID. And I think Mac is great if you love what Mac requires you to use on your machines and don't want to upgrade or tweak existing components.

VC's aren't covered in a DTC guide

Since VC's don't issue DTCs there is no coverage in this guide yet it is invaluable for many other purposes! :banana:

Actually, he hasn't been back since the day he made the post in 2011. Impatient puppy.

BTW, the FSM DOES tell you how to pull the valve covers, you just have to sort it out from a general disasembly:
