DOWNPOUR11's Build Thread

Ended up at High Lakes again last night and today. I need to get these lockers hooked up. I'm a lagger.

Anyway, didn't really run a trail, just dinked around.

Are you running any kind of bumpstop up front?

No bumpstops yet. Going to eventually put airbumps on all fours. I haven't had any problems yet and I actually got this thing in the air 2 weeks ago. It was a little sketchy, only because of the trail I was on and how fast I was going lol

I'm going to order shims and some shock oil and Matt and I are going to have a tuning session in the next couple weeks. I'll be needing airbumps after that... :D

Nice! Yea I am planning to run airbumps, but not at the moment. I was looking at these as an inexpensive bump...and since I have no more real estate.

lol you and me both.

I'm not sure those will work on coilovers though. I'd just get your truck driving and dialed in and save for some air bumps & cans. Once you start tuning coilovers, the faster you'll want to go and you'll definitely be needing air bumps.

I had Matt drive my truck on the last trip and it was so harsh at 25mph. Then we hopped in his and we were at 55mph and I felt like I was in a recliner.

downpour11 no one cares about you sexy blue coil overs, amazing chance to have a SAS, monster light bar up top to compete with the sun, ODL bumper, Meaty 35 Rubbers all around, Sliders slicker than snot.

no but serious :behindsofa:, whats your address? when are you not around? Where are they keys and title(just sign it, who cares...)? and your bank account numbers to fund all this.

oh and dont mind these guys, :police: they wont be any help to you so dont even bother... lol

looks good bro.

Hahaha thanks man, cops don't like me anyway so I wouldn't bother calling them. They'd probably arrest me for some random nonsense while you're driving off in my truck :lmao:

Hahaha thanks man

ill be waiting for a PM with the answers to my questions from my last post. lol

so what are your plans next? also what page is where you talk about your light bar? or some info on it. can i get a few pic of driver seat looking out with it on at night?

The lightbar thing is a couple pages back, post 850: http://www.toyota-4runner.org/3rd-gen-t4rs/74558-downpour11s-build-thread-57.html#post1516778 There are all the pics you're lookin for.

It's just a MicTuning 41.5" flood. I traded my friend an old subwoofer amp for it. No money out of pocket. I like it, it's really nice to have driving through the woods at night. I'll prob switch it out down the road with a decent light bar with some cree's.

Otherwise... Plans next (in no particular order):

Tune Coilovers
Air Bumps and cans
A couple more gussets
Paint everything before it starts rusting
37's and wheels with the backspacing I need
Chromos
Fix leaky rear axle drain plug I made
Stack another 2.28 case
Interior cage
Rear bumper
Gas tank skid
Tcase/tranny skid
Swap upper springs front and rear for longer ones
Winch
Cut front bumper and fenders
Different radiator or just make a radiator guard
Different headlights
Warn or Yukon Hubs
Rear disc brake conversion
Beadlocks
Onboard Air
New CD player... mine is toast
HAM Radio
.......that's all I can think of right meow.

I expect a write up next week!!

Just wanted to get an update from you about your coil rates....you still thinking about dropping down to a 200#? Or does the 250# upper seem okay?

I got sent the wrong length uppers (10" @ 200#) Upping it to 12" based on your recommendation, just wanted to see if I should stick with the 200 or bounce up to 250

Either/or will work. You'll definitely want a 12" or even a 14", depending on how much preload you're using. My setup is pretty stiff right now but that has more to do with valving. You'll want to get your corner weights and have your coilovers tuned eventually. I'd go with a 200#.

Another great weekend!

Finally hooked up my ARB compressor on Friday. I ditched the cruise control module. I don't think I've ever used it once lol.
