Driver's Side Sag?

I have the OME 881/890 lift on my 4Runner with no top plate spacers in the front. I've been thinking of getting the 3/4" ones from Toytec to pick the front up a little more. This prompted me to get my tape measure out to see what my ground to fender measurements were looking like. The driver's side is at 36 7/8" and the passenger side is at 37 1/4".

When I installed the lift, the driver side strut had a spacer in it that I'd read was to account for the the driver and the gas tank being on that side. I can't find my notes at the moment but I'm pretty sure when I installed the lift about a year ago there was only about 1/8" difference between the sides.

So my question - is it normal for the driver's side suspension to sit 3/8" lower than the passenger side even with a spacer on the driver side? FWIW I weigh about 200lbs and I took the measurements with the truck unloaded.

I should also note that the front drivers side tire rubs the very bottom tip of the front bumper sometimes when going over simple parking lot bumps.

are you sure your fenders aren't mis-aligned ? was the truck in an accident? that sounds like too big of a difference. Usually 1/4 to 1/2 inch is normal.

And then another 18.5 gallons of gas which is an additional ~150lbs on the drivers side, plus your weight which then is ~350lbs. My Eibachs have a 620lb/in spring rate (which is on the higher end of 4Runner spring rates) so that would sag the drivers side over 1/4" assuming the front/rear is split 50/50 for weight and THEN you have to compensate for the lever arm of the lower A arm which would add further force on the front. So it sounds right

For reference, for awhile after I installed my lift my passenger side sat a good inch higher. Now it's level all around though I can't explain why it leveled out...

No accidents that I know of. The fenders seem straight to me. 3/8 is right between 1/4 and 1/2 so I guess I won't worry about it.

Thanks for the info. I guess I'll just move forward with the 3/4" top plate spacers to decrease the rake a little and forget about it not sitting dead level for now.

The height of your rear springs will affect this also! that's why the driver's side rear coil is longer than the passenger side. If they are swapped, this will make the driver's side lower.

(I think that's right, it's early and I don't have enough coffee in me yet)
