Driving lights are killing me!!!!!

So I think I'm cool with the non-amber lights. Checked the internet, and front white lights are cool for turn signals. It's the side markers that have to be amber.

Where you live, you can change the color of the front turn signal bulbs to clear.
However, my question is... Why have you started this exact thread 3 times (starting in 2011)?

Do you forget that you already asked and solved the question? You are making the Sherman Oaks public education look really bad. I kid, I kid.

I'm sure the white looks much better than the amber so I defiantly understand your why you are doing the mod, just confused about why you asked in three different threads.

You bought the wrong truck. On the TRD Pro trim, you can choose between amber and white bulbs by using a switch in the cabin.

FWIW - I like the amber lights. It's different from all the other LED strips I see on every other car.

Or, on the '14 + we can actually disable the DRL and still keep out amber parking / turn signals, if we want to just for kicks.... :llama:arty:

Okay guys. So the reason I posted this same question so many times is, because this is my second LE 4Runner. I bought my first one in 2010 brand new, but sold it a year later for a Prius, because I launched a new company.

3 years later as my Prius lease was up, I really, really wanted another 4Runner so, I bought this 2012 LE used just this past January.

The moral of the story is, after almost 5 years, I totally forgot I posted the same question when I had my first 4Runner. Unfortunately this site isn't the easiest thing to navigate through, and no offense to anyone, but I have other things to do than to sit on T4R.ORG all day. Again, don't mean to offend anyone.

So if I offended anyone by being a knucklehead, and asking the same question on more than one occasion my apologies.

Anybody else notice there are worse things going on in the world than some guy asking the same question on this site? Just saying.

Is it true the clear bulb's are illegal? Is that a CA thing? Do I have to have an amber bulb as a turn signal bulb? Is that the issue?

Could be, you're not supposed to have flashing white lights on the front of your vehicle, makes it look like a cop. Since these are the turn signals, it could be an issue.

You have to push and hold the hazard flashers button for 3 seconds while simultaneously activating the horn 5 times within 3 seconds
