driving with the rear window down - turned exhaust tip?

The manual says not to. I know.

It's also one of the best experiences in the summer. The airflow is amazing and calm.
However the exhaust comes in the cabin. Usually going up a big hill, but it's definitely strong, and no good for me or my passengers.

Has anyone turned their exhaust tip out the side? Does this solve the problem, or just make a slight difference?

Yes, side exit exhaust solves the problem. IIRC a few people in this thread have done it.
