Man that sucks. In Tennessee, it's not strict at all. You aren't even required to have fenders here

i have driven all over the country and seen some that would blow me away compared to the 4Runner...newer jeeps around here with barely any coverage at all..oh well

On to Operation Keep the Law Happy part 2
Added some flexible rubber fender flares compliments of Amazon prime



Also pulled the steering wheel cover off and found some nastiness, found a good deal on the Wheelskins cover


Went to get gas and the gas door wouldn't open. Popped it open and found the lower hinge mount had popped lose, slapped some epoxy in there and clamped it, works like a charm ..for now


wiped up the excess, looks like crap but who cares on the gas door

I busted out my $64 Harbor Freight Booger Splatterer (aka flux core welder) and used electronic snot to mount some light tabs

I picked up these eBay 50w Light Cannon knock offs last year. Nice thing is you can use Vision X filters on them so spots can turn into floods with one set with out the $500+ price tag

Saw these on kickstarter or somewhere awhile ago and after shearing a valve stems a few years ago thought they were a good idea.
They allow you to replace the valve stem from the outside of the rim with out breaking the bead. Cheap insurance to have in the trail box

Looks tasteful. I like it! and the truck's looking sexy, Robb.
You might also be able to find side-marker/signal lights that would screw onto those threads for added visibility.

Just pullin your chain... I actually think some panels bolted on there would look pretty sweet. Flush mounted kind of like what the Rock bouncers use? Aluminum even... Ian from extreme off-road showed how to mount them in an episode online..

Something like these. Just cut your panel to be 1/4" larger than the inside of your tube so it'll end up flush with the outside. Bolt your tabs on and tack them on.

After 23 years a lot of crap made it way past the seal

Toyota even used cone washers on the rear deflector...go figure

Added some KC cyclone LED's to use as brake lights

So like a lot of people I got screwed by :flamethrwoer2: photophucket :50cal:when they decided that it would be cool to charge people $400 a year for hosting pics. I have 13 years worth of threads on various forums that got fubarred.
I will do what I can to reconstruct this thread when i find a new hosting service that is either free or doesn't charge the same amount i paid for this project

when you have the same build thread on multiple forums it is a PITA to upload the same pics each time, copy and paste the links into one post, than copy that post into the other threads and you are done

edit: figured out how to use google photos but it is a pain to use
Using Google Chrome:
Right click on the google image, 'Open image in new tab', right click on the new tab image,'copy image address', paste that into the image box URL form.

set up a flickr account and it is easy to use, you get 1 TB of free pics hosting so

so now that i sort of have pics figure out here was an short little adventure on the 4th when my frigging throttle cable broke- there is a little plastic doohicky on the end of the cable that runs into the gas pedal.*
that little POS broke off somehow so zip ties to the rescue
