He would have, but snapped a front u-joint trying to get me out. I appreciate all you guy's support. I am going to go out there tomorrow and try to get it running and back to the house.
It did get down into the 20's last night. This doesn't really concern me too much. Odds are, if there is water in there, not all the cylinders are full. If it froze, the crankshaft should have counter rotated and accomodated the expansion. Who knows, the water may have shorted something out. Our starters hate water. The interior door speakers, window motor and switches, and carpet will need attention. I think I'll pull the carpet and RhinoLine the floor panels.
As far as the engine goes, worse case scenario is a rod swap. I have already located new ones for $87 each. Used piston and rod assembly, $20. Master engine rebuild kit: $455. I even located a supercharged used engine for $2100and a remanned one for $1995. We WILL ride again!

Yeah man, if you end up needing any gasket sets, rod/main bearings anything like that, let me know. I'll get them for wholesale, and ship them out in a USPS flat rate box. I won't mark it up or anything, you pay what I pay. If I can't drive all the way down there, I wanna help ya somehow

Thanks, I'll keep you guys posted. I'm suppsed to go back to work Monday. This truck is my daily driver. I am still financing it as well. I will get it running again. Depending on the damage, it may take a while. I am a traveling wind turbine technician, so I spend alot of time away from home. It may be awhile.

Where do you work? I'll keep that in mind. I have the knowledge and experience to do the overhaul. Kinda looking at the $2100 supercharged engine. Only drawback is it has 138k on it. No idea how long the supercharger has been on there or if it has the 7th Injector KIt installed. Plus I would have to have it shipped from South Dakota.

Toyota tech by trade, Honda parts guy to make the bills.
Put them together and I get anything I want for wholesale prices. Let me know, I can get you anything you need to get her up and running!
If you are gonna do that, then make sure you drill a few large holes in the floorpan and after the Rhino dries, put in a few large grommets. This will help a lot with cleanup. Also, without the carpet, expect the floorboard to get quite a bit hotter.
BTW, I have used both Rhino and LineX and the LineX is a far superior product. I have some on the outside of my jeep and it has held up to abuse from rocks and hasn't faded one bit.

x2 on the Line-X. In fact one demonstration I used to do with a buddy at shows( he was a Line-X distributor) was taking a sample of Line-x and scrape Rhino lining off. Much more durable.

The verdict is in. I went to investigate today. After pulling the plugs, I tried cranking it over. It went just a little and stopped. I got water out of the middle cylinder on the passenger side. I am assuming there is either Ice in there still that won't let it go to TDC, or the rod is bent. In either case, I have to leave for work tomorrow night. Meaning, that after I let it set for a week, it will begin to rust the cylinder walls. At this point a remanned short block is my best bet. Unless I can find a very low mileage engine locally.
I will save this block and overhaul it at the first opportunity. I plan to keep it as a spare or put it up for sale. I plan to have it resurrected by the end of January.
As much as it kills me, I'm probably gonna have to pay someone to put it in. I cannot stand letting someone else do my heavy mechanic work! But time will not allow me to do it.

Let the engine search begin! I like the diesel idea, but probably hard to find. Was that engine common in any other Toyota vehicle in the US? I wish my LC had a diesel....its a real guzzler!
So Shawn, if you let it be known which block and what the mileage limit is maybe we can find one for you while you're gone to work??

Its a Cummins, a 4cyl, its whats in the Frito trucks, the engines are cheap ($500-$1500) but you gotta put stronger axles in, to handle all of the torque.

i feel your pain, kinda i just know my heart would like stop and i would just be upset till i fixed it, maybe its a sign tho, you know your runner is amazing and all, maybe a step forward is might be a good idea? sell this pice or work and get a 4th? i know its hard to let go, but its life, and lifes a *****, so spend your money on it hahaha
