Early 5th gen trails vs new 14-15 trails?

I personally have a rule that I NEVER buy a first year vehicle. Ever.

While Toyota does a good job with working the bugs out on new models, I let others be the guinea pigs.

There is a theory I have that the last year of any given generation is the best because that far into a production run all the loose screws and faults have been discovered and fixed.

That is what I said isn't it? I feel the same way, you never know though. I had the opportunity to buy a 14'. I personally hate the new 5.5 exterior (there are a few builds I really like ) I like everything else they did.

...then either buy the most solid 5thgen and at least have the opportunity to check out a 6th gen before you buy

6 more months to the 2016 and only 12 past that for the 6th gen? Isn't that right? If so, if it were me, I think I would hobble along a while longer, then either buy the most solid 5thgen and at least have the opportunity to check out a 6th gen before you buy.
