If you already have an air compressor, and air tool would be pretty cheap. If not, unless you plan to do other work on your 4runner yourself, it's probably not worth investing in a real impact wrench just for these bolts, because even the cheap ones aren't "cheap", so your best bet would just be finding someone who has one.

I went through basically exactly this with my running boards. Couldn't get the bolts to budge with my 18 volt impact driver, and had to use my friend's air impact to get the bolts off. And after that I bought an impact wrench as soon as there was a sale I liked.

i do happen to have an air compressor but the only other time i think id use it is for suspension and all the nuts in the suspension look pristine

If you plan to work on your own suspension, an impact wrench would be pretty important. Even just lug nuts are kind of pushing it for an impact driver. Most of the time it will work, but sometimes it just... won't. Especially since you have to use 1/4" hex adapters. Since you already have Ryobi 18v battieries/charger, it's probably easiest to just buy a Ryobi 18v impact wrench with no battery or charger and save quite a bit, even if they're not the greatest. At least that's what I'd do in your situation.

4) Lexus IS300 Shit Knob: ($30ish) Serves no purpose besides being nice to look at and feels nice to shift with. Have had it on my ISF and then now on 4runner.

Polished the headlights on my 06 and put it done Lastfit H11 LED. Not the best output but better than halogens.

Wiring help plz.

So since I’m new I can’t make a new thread, so apologies.

I just did the fog light mod1 and mod 2 and the usb charger mod in center console.

So for some odd reason my aftermarket remote start and alarm no longer is responsive. I was very careful not to mess with any other wires or take anything out. I’m wondering if the fog light mod #2 (under the steering column) may have blown a fuse on the alarm control module??? I already double checked all fuses on the Toyota interior-nothing burned out. I removed the Mod #2 and it did not come back.

Anyone have any ideas? Thanks. Appreciate in advance.

There are also fuses under the hood. in the engine compartment, near the battery.

I'm assuming you're asking about Plastic-Dip on your wheel, if so the answer is yes, many here have used it to re-do the finish on their wheels, if at some point you want to change it later for whatever reason it will easily peel off.

Do a search for Plastic Dip/wheels and you should find a lot of info on the subject.
 
Hey all.

I just acquired my 2007 SR5 and I've seen scattered mentions about headlight bulb changes and in searching around I've seen various answers to this.

What can I do to make my stock headlights better in terms of changing out the bulb? The stock headlights are not good.

Hitting the center diff lock button turns off some nannies, just don't do it while turning on concrete. Snow and dirt is fine.

You can unplug a wheel speed sensor connector in the engine bay, driver's side.

Or you can splice into a wire somewhere and add a switch.

Should be quite a few write-ups, we don't really call it Andy's Mod though.
