I'm starting to wonder if these are exactly the same as the OEM ones and made by the same manufacturer. I highly doubt Toyota makes the lights themselves in house and contracts the work out to cheaper foreign labor,probably China, and these are coming from there direct.
I mean, imagine the amount of research,engineering and tooling to manufacture the lights just to sell a few on Ebay.Most likely these come from the same manufacturing plant ,just without the Toyota branding and Ebay is a good cover. Come to think of it,I don't remember any Toyota branding on them at all when I had mine out and disassembled them.
You do know that the ONLY difference between the TE headlights and the SR5/Limited headlights is the inside bezel. On the Limited/SR5 that plastic bezel is painted chrome and with the TE's that bezel is left natural black plastic.TE lights are not tinted.If you take the lens off ,that bezel separates from the housing with a couple of screws and is a separate piece that can be painted black or a color of your choice.
I've had mine apart a couple of times and painted my bezels flat black . There are pics up somewhere here in the 5th subforum of others doing it also.
The rear tail lights are the same way with an inside bezel but I believe they are permenantly sealed can't be separated easily if at all.I don't think anybody has had any success with those or will for that matter.
