eBay uniball control arms?

You can see a full scope of my situation in the write-up on page one, but in short yes and no. I destroyed the bushings they came with due to learning the length of the bushing sleeve was too short and replaced them with All-Pro's...same part number on both. I also used All-Pro's slug adapters (I have a 3rd Gen, which requires them). I used ACE Harware zirk fittings and I did not change the bolts.

Measurements of my eBay control arms Bushing and adapters
Bushing sleeve inside diameter (bolt is 14mm)
eBay arm sleeve = 16mm
Spc SR sleeve = 14mm
Length of sleeve is completely wrong so didn't care to measure. Adding washers won't center the bolt.
Spindle adapter 19mm/0.75in
uniball adapter 19.6mm/0.77in
.6 mm of play
both of these will give you play in all directions. Tolerances on oem arms are almost zero and people can feel if the rubber is going soft. Any play or ruff movement on an Oem ball joint you would replace the thing. Poly bushing are always stiffer then rubber bushing if made right. I suspect the play in the arms is making these more comfortable for the average user. But the play in the arms will just get larger as they wear.
I cannot vouch for longevity because i haven't had them that long. I have been checking them more then i would like and already know that uniballs need to be rebuilt more often then ball joints. I got rid of the play in mine and they are not bad. I don't have pn# of spindle adapters because i rigged it(drilled out with an additional sleeve)

I'm gonna try some lca bolts next with tc cams.

I found that the play in the arms is all due to the large washers being flat. I'm not sure but I think all the companies provide flat washers with their arms. The four washers for the oem parts have what is exactly like our hub centric rims. The oem inner sleeves stick out past the bushings and the long bolt is tourqed to hold the oem washers tight AROUND the sleeves.

All the aftermarket arms are designed like this. It would make it impossible to find a replacement bushing. The design of the oem is also glued to the sleeve where won't move left or right in the bushing. So the flat washer holds both the sleeve and bushing in place. The bushing should have less friction then the sleeve or you will be replacing them all the time.

Yeah Im curious as well. If they're DOM Id say they're strong enough, I think chromoly is a bit overkill for most people. Post up what the seller responds, if he does that is haha
This has already been covered...The seller claims they are chromoly. A direct quote from the seller was posted in the earlier pages.
I'd rather buy from the seller that still has them cheap, but I don't know if they're the same arms or not. They just have the same photo.

I got mine from suspension market place about a month ago for $250 + tax. After a trip to Home Depot, Lowes, and Ace I couldn't find a longer inner metal sleeve or any washers to prevent me from crushing the red bushing when tightening them down. Yesterday I went into Home Depot again to check in their hardware department for spacers of that size but didn't find any, however I did find a spacer washer that is the exact size of the sleeve. I will be installing them this weekend.
I also bought a pair of the $225 arms on ebay. Hopefully it goes well.
I just went through this whole thread. Let me throw in a TL
R version of this thread for new-comers and people on the fence. (because let's face it, 30 pages is a pain in the ass)

- There are several of eBay seller accounts selling the same silver UCAs at different prices.
- If there is grease on the uniball, clean it thoroughly and apply a dry lube spray.
- If you're unsure of the Grade of bolts that you get with the kit, go buy Grade 10.9 metric bolts for some piece of mind. ($13-15).
- If the metal sleeve inside of the bushings are shorter than the bushing (a.k.a. they do not sit flush), then you should either:
1. grind off a small amount of the bushing to match the sleeve
2. buy a washer to stack on the inner sleeve so it matches the bushing.
3. Source or create your own correctly sized sleeve.
** This is so the bushing doesn't wear out prematurely.
- 3rd Gen arms need Slug Adapters. 4th Gen arms do not.
- 3rd Gen slug adapters are not well made. Buy AllPro slugs instead.
- Do not install the arms upside down and backwards.

Just to add to that. The best option with the sleeves is to source the proper length. Which is what I will be doing.I also bought a pair of the $225 arms on ebay. Hopefully it goes well.

Do you know if that'd be a common part from a local store or a specialty "order online" type part?
I noticed one or two people did that and ended up grinding the washer down to size.
