Eibach Pro-truck lift

For those comparing Falken Wildpeak's with BFG KO2's:
275/70/17 Falken C = 57.1 lbs
285/70/17 Falken E = 58.9 lbs
285/70/17 Falken P = 50.5 lbs
275/70/17 KO2 E = 55.18 lbs
285/70/17 KO2 C = 50.33 lbs
285/70/17 KO2 E = 57.87 lbs

I will do so when I get better light. FWIW, the Eibach label printed on both front springs is right side up, if that matters. Does that, by chance, indicate if it's correct?

Edit: I just looked at the instructions online, and they indeed say that the logo on the springs should be right side up, so we should be good there.

That's not the part I was referring to. When you have a chance, take a picture of the bottom of the spring and how it sits on that plate that is resting on the snap ring. This will tell us if that plate is upside down or not.

Confirmed, your lower spring perches are 100% upside down. Also, the ball joint looks damaged (ball joint could just be bad picture).

I agree with the majority of your review. The ride improvement is remarkable and the nose dive is virtually gone. I opted for the heavier LT285 Falkens on the stock trail wheels at the advice of the install shop. As expected, I did immediately notice a decrease in power and MPGs - I think I am getting somewhere around 15-17 MPGs combined. The independent lift shop did not encounter any issues on the install (with KDSS equiped) or with the alignment with stock UCAs. Currently, I have not experienced any floating at highway speeds and everything trails straight. I think/hope the stock UCAs will be fine for the occasional light to moderate trail riding. I am considering UCAs if I plan to attempt anything with significant articulation.

The fender mod was needed and the front flaps were removed because of the rubbing with the 285s. I do think I have some minor rubbing at full lock reversing to the right and I will confirm this when I get a chance.

Overall, I am very happy with the kit. In hindsight, I do wish I had the opportunity the compare a 285 setup to a 275 setup - I am wondering if there is a noticeable difference in loss of power between the 275s and 285s.

Uppers will only benefit if you get extended travel shocks, unless this Eibach kit gets more travel then what the OEM uppers can handle. The bigger gain is the alignment adjustability. Stay with the stock uppers unless you push 2.5-3" of lift IMO.

Hopefully I did this right. Someone reply if the images aren't here.

Like I said, the front needs to settle a bit. Looks good overall, though.

the 9" wide wheels looks good IMO. Get those spring perches swapped and you'll be good to go.

I believe it should look like this.

After about 400 miles on the new suspension, the ride has been great. The nose dive from breaking has gone away. Rides very nice. I love taking medium/high speed turns or banked turns now because it feels like it's on rails. No more body roll side to side when turning. I wanted some slight forward rake so I added 10mm OME spacer on passenger rear and 15mm Dobinsons spacer on driver rear. My driver side rear still sits about a half inch lower than passenger rear. This was an issue before the lift.

After the fix, another alignment, and apologies from the shop.

The driveway has a slight slope down to the road.

Quick and dirty review of the lift.
The ride is stiffer in ways, but not to the point its harsh at all.
Stock, the ride was a bit softer, and sucked up some bumps really well, a smoother ride in some ways, but you had a bit of that SUV sloshy feel.
Now, it feels VERY sturdy and solid. Very composed, less body roll, the nose dive under breaking is GONE.
A lift can certainly ruin a vehicle, but this Eibach lift has been a nice improvement. I am very pleased with how it rides.
Front is set to second notch from the bottom, per Eibachs recommendation.
I was very worried this would make the front higher than the back, but It seems to be pretty much level with my added bumper and winch weight.
If you only have a winch, or only have a bumper, ehhhh, you may want to stick with the lowest setting and have a sliiiight rake.

Do you guys buy the parts through your shop or order them yourself and bring them in? I worry that I'll get upcharged at the shop if I order through them. Right now I found it for $673 on sale.

Pro-Truck-Lift Stage 1 Lift System for 2003-2009 4Runner (E80-82-073-01-22)
I had them shipped to me and I called a local shop. Spoke to them about the lift and had them look it up online socthey knew what they were getting into. Gave me a price for install and alignment. Going there on Wednesday. We'll see. I figured last alternative would be a dealership.
