I'm getting ready to install an aftermarket front bumper and want to tie in the side/running LED lights (fab four 60mm LEDs) to my existing always-on OEM markers (2008 Limited). The lights came with resistors, so I'll add those in-line.
That said, what's the best way to achieve this? The markers came with T-taps but I've heard nothing but bad things about using them.
Seems like I have these options, but is one recommended over another?
1. Use t-taps and tie into existing wiring at each headlight;
2. Strip sheathing off existing headlight wiring and solder in a connection (this seems painful, given the limited space to work with);
3. Run electrical to a blank in the fuse box from each light;
Any thoughts are appreciated, the one thing I haven't dealt with much is electrical. Thanks
