Engine and differential questions

Does the 2012 1GR-FE engine in the 4Runner have dual VVTi? Does it have the D4 DI (direct injection) fuel management system?

Is the rear diff in the RWD SR5 a Torsen type LSD, or is it an open diff?

It is an open diff with ABS brake based traction control.

The sr5 and TE have an auto LSD (ABS based I believe) rear diff not a Torsen, based diff. The Limited has a Torsen center LSD diff which is lockable. The TE's rear diff is lockable.

The 2WD's (SR5/LE) have a LSD, but the 4WD versions do not. Since the TE is 4WD only it does not.
