Engine bay question

2015 SR5 4.0 V6. What is the canister-type thing on the passenger side front, between the airbox and passenger headlamp? It has a some kind of 'dial' on the side and pipes that connect it to valve/solenoid(?) assemblies mounted atop the middle of each valve cover? What are the different settings on the dial for?

That's the supercharger. The dealer didn't tell you how to switch it on? You gotta reverse the polarities, but don't cross the streams.

It is an air pump that pushes air into the exhaust and is used for cold starts to help with emissions. Pre 2014 trucks do not have the system. There are kits out there to relocate it if you are hoping to use that space for something else such as a battery or compressor or something cooler we dont know about.

Its more crap to break. LOL. The tundras had all kinds of trouble with these air injection systems. I hope our are better.:50cal:
