Entune App Automatic Reconnect Bluetooth

I've searched and don't see much about this but I've just downloaded the Entune Appp and got iHeartRadio/SlackerRadio/Pandora linked up, they work great on a road trip!

The problem comes when I go to get in the car the next day (or even several hours later) it seems the headunit can't get a signal from the iphone app and I have to manually tap the app to get it to reconnect. I never close the iphone app, so techncially it should be running in the background but for some reason the HU can't get a signal.

Anyone have the issue or (better yet) have a solution for getting it to automagically connect so I don't have to do it manually each morning as I hop in on my way to work? Would love to stop paying for XM radio but it's going to require manual connection each time I don't think that will work for me.

Usually my iPhone works with Entune running in the background. If you jailbreak, then you can setup Activator and anytime your phone pairs to your Yota it can launch the app of your choosing (Entune) automatically.

Surely jailbreak isn't required to get this thing to work as it should. Perhaps the August 20 update will resolve.

I still have that problem intermittently, with both Android and iOS. Unfortunately I never found a solution other than it starts working again so I leave it alone. It's definitely quite finicky. Sometimes it will say everything is connected and Pandora is playing but it's not producing sound, then I'll get a text message and of a sudden the music starts playing. There's definitely some frustrating bugs in teh entune software, so I hope you're right about the 8/20 update fixing a lot of them.

yeah ran into this with my galaxy S5 a while back. worked great, then an entune update pushed out back about 3-4 months ago and it would do the above. entune update about 1-2 months ago resolved that, hasn't done it since.

could try this thread : http://www.toyota-4runner.org/5th-gen-t4rs/162771-2014-entune-problems.html
