Entune Navigation Maps?

I did a search of the forums and didn't find another post on this. I hope Im not repeating a topic..

Can the maps on the navigation be updated or changed? Can I add topo maps in some particular format to an existing Nav system?

Thanks Coolmax. I must be missing something. That thread was about Entune problems. I want to know if it is possible to upload maps to the Nav system. Like topo maps.

Anyone got any ideas or tried this before?

Whoops, my bad. That thread has a link to an Entune update - dunno anything about other types of maps.hwell:

afaik, the maps can only be updated via the dealer or if you have a 3rd party sd card off ebay and the techstream software.

but then again, I don't give a rat's a$$ about the nav anyway, I use my garmin, way better in all aspects.

OK thats where I was going with this next.

In my '02 Taco, I did a lot of off-roading. I have been using a Garmin with a few different sets of maps to cover my trips. Would the Toyota Nav even be worth paying for?

So to the off-roaders, Do you use the Nav or another GPS system?
