Hello Mom!
You should know that there are many on this forum that would help your son. All he has to do is ask and the word will go out.
Tell him instead of depending on a cell signal, a CB radio is what he needs to get local help in case of trouble.
From one engineer to 1engineer I want to slap you for recommending CB radio
So I'm at the visitor area before the GC National Park and I'm trying to decide if I should forgi the painted desert and go on up to see the other things on my map. I'm running short of time and if I went to the painted desert then it would be after flagstaff today and then turning around to come back this way. What's everyone's opinions??
Trust me I'll make it there!!You're headed to a favorite area of mine - big beautiful country, lots of driving. Don't skip Monument Valley. I have wanted to be there during sunset or sunrise but has never worked out that way.
I would like to visit Zion. I'd it easy or the way or noPay the extra few bucks to drive the road in monument valley!
North rim will be really sketchy right now, as they usually have snow the latest and with recent storms, be careful! Beautiful in the now and definitely the least visited rim, so crowds are small. Just before going in, there is a great restaurant, looks like a log cabin. Food was great. Nothing much else worth it, inside the park, however in October when we were there they were building some new buildings. Very worth the walk out to the rim point and walking around the path under the building too. Let me know if you need any other info on north rim to monument valley. Are you going to hit Zion, Bryce and grand escalate and come into monument from above, or shoot across?
Zion is also spectacular, The Zion-Mount Carmel Highway (UT 9) is a must. For the valley, you have to park and get onboard the shuttle bus to go to the valley. From Page AZ it is about 2 hours west.I would like to visit Zion. I'd it easy or the way or no
