Exedy hd clutch kit installed

Replaced my clutch and flywheel about 2 months ago. I can definitely feel a difference in clutch pedal softness compared to the original Asin pressure plate. Is clutch engagement normal to be like a on/off switch with an inch of drag between engage disengage on a 4Runner??

Compared to my previous manual vehicles 240sx,civics,supra they all had at least a 2inch drag between engage disengage made gear shifting easier more feel.

I have a stainless steel braided clutch line on order from marlin crawler hope it helps.

I believe your issue lies within the title of your thread. You installed an hd or heavy duty clutch and expected it to act the same as your oem. I would imagine that your symptoms are in accord with the way a hd clutch should act so I dont think you new braided line will effect it at all,
