Exhaust, looking for one.

Hey everybody. I'm looking for an exhaust, cat back uncut. I am working with someone to start producing the exhaust I bought for my tundra. Some of you that have owned tundra's probably know him. He is interested in expanding to the 4runner lineup. I would like to find an exhaust to buy. That he can use for mock up. I doubt my wife will want to hoof it for about 2 weeks if I didn't have an exhaust on her 4runner. Send me a pm if you have one. If you are in North arkansas or souther missouri, or close to Escondido California would save me a ton of shipping costs. Thank you everyone.

I don't have a spare exhaust to donate but I do have a suggestion.

Please, make the exhaust exit to the side, just behind the rear tire, tucked up high so we don't smash it over everything. Also, angle it toward the rear, just a little, not pointing straight out like the Magnaflow. That's all, thanks.

Oh yeah, keep us updated on the progress!

As soon as I find an extra exhaust I will either have it dropped off to him or ship it to him. After he receives it he told me within a week to two he will have the new one built and on the way back to me for some testing. Then it will be ready for production.

I Agree with the above definitely side exit and high clearance vs the stock muffler.

Since it's going to Escondido can I make a guess that its going to be made by BAMufflers and have a nice Helmholtz resonator? If so Count me in!

Yep... Keith @ BAMufflers made lots of them for the FJ peeps.

Yep that's who. I just gotta find one to give him to start the process. I talked to him to set it up last night. Would like to see him work up a full race system like I bought for my tundra but no long tube headers are available at this point so if we did go through development to build a complete race exhaust it will involve a lot of shipping and test fitting preproduction headers then get order to make 02 simulators as well.

Are his mufflers loud? Have you heard the setup for the FJ? I can't contribute but I would love to see how this pans out. Depending on price and loudness level, I'm definitely interested in the end result!

I just had to toss mine in the trash to make room in the garage, I can check if the roll off at work has been emptied yet, it is cut, after the muffler, but both pieces were tossed At the same time, let me know if I should go diving?

+1!

And it would be great if the tail pipe can be left without a tip installed, so the owner can purchase the style of their choosing.

Good luck and I look forward to seeing how this progresses.

Well my race exhaust on the 07 tundra 5.7 is deeper at idle. At cruise it is quiet with no drone. When you stomp on it its pretty loud.
I have not heard the fj exhaust he makes. But as soon as I locate one and ship it to him. This is a go. After the first one I will be able to tell you what he will be charging and what the options are for it.

Found the exhaust shipped it to Keith dirtydeedsindustries. Talked to him today and I am going to send him some measurements for a high clearance cat back with a side exit exhaust.

Anyone who might be interested in a high clearance exhaust feel free to post here for the moment until he comes over here and starts a thread for his exhausts.
