hahaha well I didn't really consider the sand part, but riding those waves out looked fun. Gotta pay to play, right? :cheers:

I shazamed it after I watched the whole thing, but much appreciated pardner. Never heard of the black rebel motorcycle club. Good stuff.

Lol. That's the thing. There are plenty of waves out there where you can get that wave plus a nice ride afterwards. I think a lot of the appeal is that when it gets heavy, there's quite a crowd that will form along the beach to watch. Seems to increase the amount of people willing to ride.

I couldn't tell you in technical terms what exactly happened but I promise you this guy had to throw that underwear away after this incident.

Im all over it!!! haha ive bodyboarded there many times, last time ended with a dislocated knee/almost torn acl :toilet3:.....so no more wedge on big days for me. The appeal for some is to get noticed, a one way ticket to the "big time" :lmao:
But for most,like myself, is it will be say 6-8ft everywhere else on a good S swell, then the wedge is pushing 15ft+. Truely epic barrel unlike anything else, bigger than my runner-sideways. But after that experience i stick to more makeable rides...mostly down in SanDiego. :surfer:

Lol. You're nuts. That wave, when the swell is "perfect" sort of acts like a double-up, right? Sort of like a mini version of Nazare when it gets big there.

And to me, this is the type of "extreme" surfing I really enjoy.

Really depends on the tide/swing. on a big incoming high tide, yes it doubles up from far out against the jetty. you see the set coming and you think "what the **** am i doing out here haha

Jet sprint boat racing! Just learned about it, and it's awesome!



13 foot hull, Chevy small block V8 sometimes pumping out over 1000hp, and they say you can feel up to 7g's going around the corners! Talk about some insane carving in these little boats! I want one :D
