Falken Wild Peak Who runs these???

You know, I swear I saw a member post a pic in the photo section with them. I know the search here does not search siglines, but try searching the thread and see. That being said, no news is good news. From a functional perspective the tread looks pretty good, somewhat like the Bridgestone Evo2's, with similar performance being likely.

I've been running these tires for almost 15K miles and I have been really happy with them.
They are really good on-road...nice and quiet at highway speeds, maybe slightly louder than stock but not noticable.
Off-road they have handled everything I've thrown at them...slippery rocks, sand, dirt....no real deep mud yet.
You won't regret your purchase.
That being said, will I buy again? Probably not, for 2 reasons,
1 they are like 61 lbs a piece....yeah...
and 2, they just aren't aggressive looking enough for my taste. I'm going with Duratracs the next go around, but I've been really really pleased with the Wildpeaks.

I have 265/70/16 Firestone Destinations and they weigh 41 pounds.
285 is alot more rubber. 60 pounds is alot, but not THAT much.

285/70/17 Falken Wildpeak A/T - D Load Rating - 61 lbs

No matter how you cut it, 61 lbs is a lot of weight for a D load All-Terrain. It may not seem like a lot, but for every 10 lbs of added rotating mass to your wheel/tire combo is the equivalent of adding 100 lbs of cargo. I'll be looking forward to shaving off the extra lbs where I can. (Looking forward to the april shipment of Countersteer's)
Right now on the winter mix I'm getting around 17/18 highway and as low as 14 just city. I expect it to go around 19 highway once summer starts.

Sorry to dig up an old thread, but does anybody have experience with 285/70r17 Falken Wildpeaks on their stock height rig? I read on a jeep forum that these tires run smaller than most 285s, so I'm wondering if anybody here has experience with fitment on a 5th gen.
I put a pair of 265s on my 4th gen and was pleased with their performance. Very quiet for an AT, and decent traction off road. Mud was their weakness, but as long as you kept them spinning they did alright at self-clearing.

I have them on my honda pilot. Great in winter too.
