That's the beauty of LED's. They use far less power and don't get nearly as hot as a standard bulb.

My CamelBak drowned my camera recently. It's in rice but it's doubtful the camera will make a full recovery...

haha ive heard of that trick before, and ive heard of it working, but nonetheless good luck! cameras arent cheap neither are iphones, hell nothing is these days, gas is 4.02 a gallon for the cheap stuff here!

Replaced some VERY rusted swaybar endlinks today and added front mud guards (after taking the running boards off...). I'll get some photos up soon of the sleeping platform once I get some latches... Then I'll be set!
Oh, and I nicked my outer CV boot... Superglued it shut (hopefully sealed!) and will replace it in a week or so...

Endlink looks good... I'll be surprised if that CV boot holds up though.... I think you'd have a better chance using gasket maker.....

Sleeping platform pictures
So I got ALL my LEDs installed - map lights and dome lights... Now for some pictures of my sleeping platform... There are two sections, the section in front is held to the rear section by draw latches, so it is quite sturdy actually. It works well, I like it.
Props to Rickashay (http://www.toyota-4runner.org/3rd-gen-t4rs/97683-rickashays-sleeping-platform.html) for inspiration and answering some questions! I chose not to go with drawers for now, to keep it simple - I may decide to add some in the future, I built it flexible enough to allow for that....
The two boards stacked on top go on the outside, on top of the wheel wells. I'm torn on whether or not to use them, as I kinda like having the wheel well space exposed (seems more useful). I also have to trim the boards a tad more and add some bike inner tube rubber to the edges to prevent them from rubbing up the entire side of my truck...

Sleeping platform in action!
I camped with the sleeping platform for the first time this weekend and it was awesome! I can now see exactly why people build them into their 4Runners...
I got to use it when I attended a wedding around 2 hours off the pavement, via roughly 60 miles of gravel roads... It was a beautiful cattle ranch and I camped with an awesome view of forest fires, helicopters, and the surrounding countryside...
