FAT Lip front bumper mod?

Not meaning to thread jack, but are those the OEM headlight assemblies/side markers? They look SWEET

OEM headlight housings with TRS Mini D2S projector retrofit. Ebay clear corners with the inside painted black.

Is that a first gen Taco peeking into the picture on the right side?

Yes. The Taco doubles as one of my daily drivers and my rig.

I would like a little more info. Did you cut the bottom part of the bumper off or did you use a different bumper? And did you make that skid plate or did you buy it somewhere? I'm liking how that looks.

The entire plastic "fat lip" portion of the bumper bolts onto the metal top section. You just have to unbolt the bottom and it will come right off.
I made the skid plate; however, it's more of radiator guard. It's just some 14 gauge scrap aluminum that I had laying around. It's not strong enough to be a skid plate but it will protect the radiator from road debris. Quite a bit of the radiator is exposed when you remove the lower plastic part of the bumper.

Ahhh I see. I didn't know that about the bumpers! That could be a cool thing to do and undo for trail rides. Only say that because the wife might not like not having a bumper on her truck. Lol. One day this thing won't be a daily driver..... One day..

Till a get some extra $$ to buy or build a new front bumper.....has anyone modded, tweaked or cut a fat lip bumper to make it look better ?

You can run a bumper from a 2nd gen. I don't know if they mount up the same but i have seen them

Thread jack again about those headlights :tongue:

In the angle shot, the combination of reflections and shadows makes the passenger headlight look like it has a "eyebrow" directly above the projector...I think it looks pretty cool/agressive.

What did you do about turn signals? Did you rewire the corners for double duty as parking/turns?
