Finally got a 1st gen t4r!!

thanks to all of you for the kind words and help. so far i have been driving it and putting it to the test making sure of no leaks and such. so far its been running like a champ! no i can move on to the next things. gotta adjust the clutch and possibly bleed the system again.
next also change all diff and trans fluids and work on cleaning the interior very well and finishing the stereo system. also wanna do some offraod lighting.
i did pull the top off fo the first time ever since it was new or at least in past 21 years for sure and my 4 year old daughter loved it! ill be posting pics with top off soon.

thanks y'all! Definitely we should do a meetup soon! i was thinking a meetup at fiesta island and have a little bbq and hang out. i have a couple weber grills i can bring too. then night have a bonfire!

I got a good deal on them new and thats reason i ended up with them. Otherwise i almost bought the cooper stt pro's on 16" wheels. But i like these so far. They definately have lots meat on them and look nice and aggressive.

yes i do still plan to paint the top black. i actually just went to the automotive paint shop and got the paint. its a satin black and i currently have the top off now and getting ready to prep and paint it.

finally found a 1st gen! took a while!
1988 toyota 4runner sr5 3vz v6
brand new 31x10.5x15 bfg ko2
182k miles
5 speed manual trans
power windows and locks
sunroof
bought it from second owner that got it 19 years ago. he towed it behind a rv.
leaf springs are completely shot! clutch is slipping a little and needs shocks and few small things.
plans that are currently happening is arb cs009r leaf springs, ball joint spacer front lift ( will turn down the torsions), LUK clutch kit, kyb steering stabilizer.
going to go through all the fluids and change out. may do a tune up for piece of mind. just going to mainly get it all trail ready reliable.
and thanks to [MENTION=83885]Dirtyfingers[/MENTION] for going to apple valley to help me pick it up, and he got to drive it back!! thanks man!

Sorry fellas. Been off here for a while. Never liked the leafs at all. Rough as hell.
I ended up selling the T4r. Wished I hadn’t. I would have Ls swapped it with 35’s and sas. Anyways.... about to purchase a 2006 limited v8 t4r 4x4. That’s my next mild build.
