Well finally back from Afghanistan and just pulled the trigger on a new 4runner! After 5 Toyota dealership and numerous used 4runners we finally found a new 2013. We noticed a add for a dealer in South Florida for 20% off MSRP on all their new Toyota's. The only requirement was that we finance through Toyota but could refinance at any time. The sale brought the 4runner to $28,900 for a black on tan 4x4 SR5 which seemed way to good to be true. So I brought my mother in law which writes underwriting a lot to look at the terms. Turned out the dealership made there money back by hitting their quota and the loan through Toyota so we bought it. The truck will be a street queen but planning on a lift with some nicer rims. Also ordering a nav unit with a backup camera as those are a must with the wife driving.

As a fellow newbie, welcome! Jealous of the insanely low prices and competitive market in parts of the US. Anyway- well deserved it seems. Congrats on the ride, and congrats on making it home safe and sound.

What is the name of the dealership? That is exactly what I am looking for but I want leather too.
The best I have found so far is $35,500
Thanks

What he said ^

I couldn't get a used 5th gen 4Runner for that up here. Welcome!

God Bless you and thank you so much for your service.

Great looking ride, I look forward to the build-up!!

Thanks for the support everyone! You guys are what make it a pleasure to serve in the military. I'm not a huge supporter of the government or the direction our country is taking but I love the people we serve and protect. I thought it was a hell of a deal too, the dealership is called Mike Erdman Toyota/Scion of Merritt Island, FL. They had a 2013 Limited 4x4 on sale for $35,800 but that was a little out of my price range.

I've been on this site since before I deployed reading articles so I have a good idea of what I want to do. Thanks Antman, 1engineer, Jesse, PhillyD, Titan, Seattlemike (R.I.P), ducmonsta and numerous others for the amazing writeups and ideas.

Since its my DD and I don't trail ride much I might just put a spacer on the front to level it out. But what guy doesn't want a nice 3" coil over lift with some nice flex especially at affordable prices they have them for the 4runner. Definitely want to put some sporty 18" or 20" chrome XD series or Moto metal rims with some beefier tires.

Well I figured out what dealership it was but they said it was a weekend deal only and would probably not do another one like it. I offered to buy one on the spot but they refused. He said if you take an expired coupon to any store they will deny it and it ain't any different with us.

So yeah u got a great deal

They remembered you and and said u got a great deal.

All he said was for me to keep an eye on their website.......

Thanks for your service, but now I'm going to feel bad no matter what deal I get.....

Yeah they said they have only ran it once before and was a huge success. They didnt advertise it anywhere but on their website and auto trader. I was just lucky enough to extend my search radius on auto trader and come across it. Didnt enjoy the 4 1/2 hour drive but it was well worth it. Good luck on finding one, only tip is I would look near the middle or end of the month when dealerships are trying to meet their quota.

Congrats on the new truck. I'd like to see more deals like that going to those who have served like yourself. I love my magnetic gray, but I do get a little jealous whenever I see a black one. Enjoy it.

Thabks jfs, I wanted the magnetic grey but couldn't pass up the deal on the black one. For everyone talking about the deal this dealership still has 20% off all camrys, prius, and corollas. Thinking about getting the wife a new Camry se for only 20500. Can't really beat the price.

Yeah you got a great deal, and that deal on the Limited was great too, I got my 12 LTD 4x4 for under 40k OTD as well, it was at the end of the month and they needed to roll two more units to get some bonus.
I drove 4.5 hours from Vegas to Flagstaff AZ too, best thing was the ride back in my new 4 Runner....:bluejump:
