1989 4Runner 3vZE. Engine caught on fire!

Fortunately, my son was on it, ran over, popped the hood, pulled the battery cable and somehow miraculously tapped it out. Looks like it started near the distributor. Anyone know what could have caused it? Anyone know where I can get a full engine harness? All help is greatly appreciated, this could have been much worse!! The video is from the school camera. You can see the flames and him running to it. My heart is racing thinking about how bad it could have been. Thank you Jesus for protecting my son.
