Roth IRA
I live right in the middle near Raleigh. While we got snow this year numerous times it wasn't anything the 4runner couldn't handle. I work for the state and have to work even if it snows so very happy I got my 4runner 2 weeks before the first snowfall. Previously had a 370z and its not a good inclement weather car.
Since you work for the state I'm sure you just saw that raise in your paycheck? I would say don't spend it all in one place, but that's kinda hard not to do.
It's been 3 months since you started this thread. What did you decide to get?
um, stock suspension + Shrockworks front bumper = snowplow.ha, yeah i got a raise... but because i work for dpi all it amounted to was $500 a year before taxes. went with the shrockworks bumper. just playing the waiting game now.
It all depends a lot on what you plan to do with your vehicle, but assuming you plan on taking it offroad a bit:
- Better (AT) tires
- Better underbody armor (Shrockworks/Budbuilt/RCI/ARB, etc)
- Rocksliders (Shrockworks/Budbuilt, etc)
- Lift (Icon/King/Toytec)
- Front bumper: WITH winch (Shrockworks/Budbuilt/ARB/Rocktec/Southern Speed)
- Rear bumper (CBI/4x4 Labs)
Knowing what I know now... that's how I would go about it. Save up; buy once, buy right!
Okki

too late to reconsider the following advice/order of things?
:thumb3:suspension will be here before the bumper gets made/shipped which i'm expecting to be sometime in dec/jan

Here are the first mods i did:
Console vault $260
Budbuilt Sliders (4weeks still waiting) $470
HID low beams $re purposed
LED fog lights $150
Gobi rack with ladder and tool box (waiting) $1400
Interior cargo/map/door LED upgrades $30
Going to do almost the exact same setup as you in a couple weeks! Where do you recommend for the Interior cargo/map/door LED upgrades? Thanks.
i bought some off amazon, which comes with everything you need for the 4runner. however, i ended up replacing them within a month with a complete set from superbrightleds.com the difference was huge.
Sweet! Thank you... just browsed over there. Did you go Blue or Soft white?
Any helpful tips would be appreciated on picking a good group, beam pattern, etc.
Thanks!
Also did you do any outside lights?
soft white, provides a more natural light. also ordered reverse lights and license plate lights shows how bright they are>: http://www.toyota-4runner.org/5th-g...ou-do-your-5th-gen-today-331.html#post1751103
