Toytec event and Spring Creek

Went to the Toytec customer appreciation event and snagged some cool photos, than got invited by RSG Offroad to shoot pics of the T40R SAS 5th Gen on Spring Creek Trail that Afternoon.

Funny story.
My brother was in town a few days before and we were chatting about trails and other fun offroading things, and spring creek came up. I told him I didn't have any desire to run it being one of the harder trails in colorado and i dont like beating on my truck. Yea ive done some hard wheeling in my day but I enjoy the moderate more scenic trails that dont give you the RIP MY WALLET feeling every time your truck makes awful noises.

So fast forward a few days and here I am parked at the trail head airing down behind a SAS 5th Gen on 40's. Welp time to send it!

RSG only uses the best of air down tools.

From extensive research, there is no patent on anything but the fairing. The side pieces are totally different and the cross bars are all from 80/20 between all the racks so no patent can be made. The mounting feet are different. plus we don't plan to make these forever. Lastly, nobody makes this style "yet" for the 3rd gen.

well shit; I'm ( - possibly was, now) working on the same thing.

- and same logic: only the side pieces are proprietary, hard to be sued over that! (great minds think alike?)

looks like your setup is wider than the factory rails, correct? I was designing to the factory rail width, with slide-outs for hauling 4x8 sheet.

are you going with 3 feet per side, or 4 (at front windshield)? selling side pieces only (less overhead that way)?

looks great.

Whole thing is sold with crossbars, side piece, fairing. It's 42" across. And runs from the windshield to where the hatch opens with about 1/2" flush fit. The sides have handles and tie down points. The crossbars are adjustable and you can easily add more then the provided 6. Great minds definitely do think alike haha.

Trip

Another good weekend in the books, For the 4th of July we Camped outside of Buena Vista the first night and then ran Halfmoon Gulch and camped right after the first obstacle after reaching the snow drift blocking the summit. No issues on this trip had to clear a lot of trail and [MENTION=144428]RockyMtnPhoto[/MENTION] ripped a flare off :/.
