Did not take many pictures as we were chasing the sun and the cold.

Old plugs were only 2 years old so they looked fine

Upper and Center Manifold looked awesome! The oil is from my fingers :clap2:

Mine were BAD. We also found out that every single bolt on my Valve covers were finger tight. It also has never been removed by anybody... This is the first time its come off.... Nice Toyota. So the seal may have been fine but it was never tight enough. It's been leaking as long as I can remember as well.

Insides looked awesome, It was really hard to keep all the dirt and crap out, did the best we could... Thats why we have an oil filter....

All back together, took about 2-1/2 hours. Which really isn't terrible for how many bolts come out, torquing things to spec, cleaning, chatting, etc.

Unfortunately you can't reach the inside ones because of the intake and throttle body, but those might not be as loose as the outer ones I'm thinking since they aren't close to the exhaust manifold. I think the rubber on those grommet washer things dry out and shrink, and then the bolts aren't tight anymore.

New suspension looks good too!

It depends entirely on what options you get but around that yea. Good ballpark.

That's a solid point about the washers shrinking. Mine were equally all loose all the way around. You may want to spend the 30 minutes to get into those. The manifolds were the easy part of the job. Weaseling the Valve covers out was a PITA because we couldn't figure out how to get those damn Fuel Injector wires out of the way. Ending up shattering all the plastic on the cover for one of them.

More Crap!

Installed the new rack. Looks so much better. I'm running it bare aluminum while in Moab to grab some attention and because I think it looks kinda cool. Probably going to paint it black again though.

Also changed my Fuel filter... Real pain in the ass being mine was destroyed somehow. I've never noticed it for some odd reason, out of sight out of mind idk. But the fuel line was smashed!! I wish I grabbed a picture before tearing it apart but I did not. Here the piece of line I cut out.

Had to buy a new fitting for the filter end, then used some high pressure hose to run about 4 inches of missing line, a few hose clamps and its good as new! Drove around for about 30 minutes afterwards and no leaks! Seems to be running a lot better but I wont really know till I take in the highway and test the mpg.

Put a little teflon tape on the threads and installed it all.

Stuff I still have to do...

Exhaust leak
Install SPC Uppers, they are in the mail from the Group Buy on here.
Tap Skid bolts
Allignment

TAP EATER

Finally got around to drilling and taping the holes in for the skid plate. My 60 some odd pound skid plate was held on by 3 bolts out of the 8 it allows. So [MENTION=107971]derpiful[/MENTION] and I drilled an tapped all the M8 holes to a 3/8's Thread. Pretty Beefy bolts holding it on now.

We managed to break two taps.Basically it would be taping really well, tap a little, back it out, tap a little back it out. Blah blah. By the book. No resistance. SNAP. The second one didn't even so much snap it kinda just exploded. So my truck has two taps forever inside it because screw drilling those out!

Utah Spring Break 2018

DAY 1
This trip is one for the books as with every Utah trip for me. Solid week of just wreaking havoc on my truck as usual. I'm going to go by days sorta since I took over 3000 photos in a week and there is a LOT I like. YAY ME!

Day 1 was Saturday the 11th of March.
Woke up early as piss and left straight for Moab from my Parents house in Conifer where I picked up my Copilot for the trip, Chai. She is a mut, german, rotty, blue healer, kelpy, etc mix.
Stopped for our first break inside Glenwood Canyon to walk the pup and letter get some wuuuter.

Gas in Glenwood and again in Fruita. Averaged about 15mpg and couldn't hold 75 so I was cruising 70 most of the way and trying hard. Something was wrong but I just blamed it on the tent/wind and all the weight..... -_-

Stopped on 128 for few photos of the LaSal's in all their glory.

On the way into town I had a lot of time to kill since everyone I was meeting with was on Metal Masher and had just gotten started around the time I was getting into town. SOOO I went out to one of my go to spots that never has people and I've camped at every time I'm in Utah except this time... But I got lunch and a nice walk with the pup this time around.

I rolled into town, hung out at the park at 128 and 191 for about an hour an half after getting gas and groceries and just waited for the dudes to finish Metal Masher.

We all met up at Milts for shakes and then headed to camp.

My mysterious ticking noise (Cracked Flex Plate, I assume) had gotten much worse after driving all the way from Denver and 4 low didn't help it at all.

Yes.... I take a lot! Filled 2 64gb cards with Raw files and another with video stuffs.

The mystery is mine to keep heheh.... no Ill update soon. Let's just say I'm leaving it at Toyota on Wednesday and I try and do everything on it myself and its only had a paid mechanic work on it once in my ownership and that was a week after I bought it for a timing belt job. Other than oil changes because I get them on the cheap at work.

Thanks man! Honestly, it has been such a frustrating process but I'm finally getting to a point where I'm happy with my final product after 10 years of playing with cameras and I'm still not content. Yes, the gear does help but I try and stop and think more when taking photos to get the best angle and framing etc. (Which I still kinda suck at) as well as spending hours on hours editing to get them how I like them. No sleep life.

So basically there is the final fun loop on Poison Spider that is optional, then you run everything again on your way out, we kinda just cruised through it all and I enjoyed it more than took pictures so I don't have much at all from that except from whats above that I liked sooo. We then proceeded to go to Milts for the second day in a row because it's yummy. Headed back to camp and I had to pull over and snag these because damn... Utah you purrrdy.
