Interesting thread with a lot of good ideas/info.
When dealers use the word "Flush" I personally wonder what they actually mean. Are they using a machine that vacuums out the oil fluid and pumps new fluid in under pressure? Does the machine vacuum out the oil fluid, pump a cleaning solvent (under pressure) through the system then pump the replacement fluid in? Or is the word "Flush" simply a fancy sales/marketing term for draining & refilling the fluid that is used in order to justify the cost being charged for the service? Depending on what exactly is being done when a fluid is "Flushed" I could see some cause for concern. If it is a simple drain/fill then I would not be as concerned with certain fluids.
Maybe BWInc can comment on this given his experience where he works?
