I've been thinking about switching from a 3x10 setup to a 1x10... may hold off until I get that SB-66 though. I definitely need to get out and ride more to justify a new frame haha.

I'm on my second season on the SB-66. It's my 3rd YETI (Previous two were 575's). There is no comparison. The 575 is a great bike but the SB demands to be ridden. Far more active feel and performance. Climbs great and descends as one would expect a YETI to descend. Just installed the XX1 drivetrain and absolutely love it.

Anyone in the Denver metro down to ride, hit me up. Love to spin pedals on the Front Range.

All this on a technical xc run after successfully not killing myself doing dh in colorado last week....

I liked my 29er aluminum frame hardtail a lot.... then I rode a Scalpel 29er Carbon 1. And then I bought said Scalpel. I feel like superman on that bike. I am top 5 on all the segments at my local trail on Strava with 3 or so KOMs, so I'm not quite that 35 year old on a $6k bike getting beaten by 20 year olds on Huffys.... yet.

Haha that's only because they don't feel the need to ride there yet!
Last race (10 years ago clydesdale class lol) that 20 yo showed up, had a pair of camo cargo shorts, no shirt, Vans, no socks and paid his entry in ones and fives. He borrowed a helmet and proceeded to win expert class got his prizes and left. They are out there. [MENTION=44268]Quint[/MENTION]in age and life will catch up very soon! Enjoy while you can. Eventually you will look around and be the oldest on the ride, then oldest on trail then you are just old like me!

I tried to make a living racing bikes in my younger days. Not sure if that qualifies me as "serious" or not. If anybody wants to head on out to CO, I'll ride with you! Yours truly on 401, Crested Butte.

Damn crashes! I had planned on getting out and doing a lot of higher altitude trails this summer - Crested Butte, Monarch Crest, Government Trail - but I'm afraid a separated shoulder may have squelched that for now. I might have enough time to get a ride in, but it will be close to when snow starts to fly by the time I'm fully recovered.

Skip the 1x10 set up and spring for the XX1 set up, SO much better!
