Daddy likes... Any chance of getting some more photos from straight on and also down the length of the truck to see how far the tires pop out?
this thread has been dead for a little while but i was curious to know if adding the wheel spacers prevents the rubbing?
So if I was planning on running 285's on 16x10's with a 3in suspension lift, what are my options to prevent rubbing? Is that 3in lift not enough clearance without the rubbing?adding wheel spacers will make it worse.
i can tell you i have no rubbing on/off road at full lock with my 16x10 -22 wheels running 295/75/16 tires, 3" suspension lift, and 2" body lift. i believe the body lift helps a lot with clearance, but offset/backspace is also important with fitment.
you might want to keep these things in mind with 285s on 10s:
-some tire shops might refuse to mount a 285/75/16 on a 16x10 due to liability (10" wide is not within the approved width range)
-they might not be able to seat the bead unless they have a cheetah
-you would have to be very cautious if you air down to go offroad due to higher risk of popping a bead
Thats some good info, The wheels im planning to run have a BS of 4.5 and an offset of -24. Ive saw different responses on here and other forums saying that itll clear with 285's with a 3in suspension lift without any trimming then i hear the opposite. But i figured if i add on spacers id be able to clear the UCA's. my only issue is fender rub and i dont think i wanna do any cutting. And you made a valid point about the extra body lift. I'm not too worried about going offroading because I don't got too often unless Its hunting season.
You will not have an issue with rubbing the uca's with that width and offset. The only time you might have trouble with that is with wider tires on oem/oem spec wheels.
ok. and what about rubbing of the fenders with that set up? sorry I dont mean to be such a noob..i just been looking everywhere and no one has any set info on my situation.
