Aww man... I wish I saw this earlier. There is an additional hidden screw if you look from underneath that holds a retaining clip in place. Need to unbolt all the 10 mm nuts AND unscrew the retaining clip, (one small hole, middle of scoop, easy to miss).

Ok, so I got the scoop plate in the mail. Now i'm having problems removing the scoop itself from the hood! I un-screwed the 5 nuts underneath the hood and nothing is budging. Any ideas before I brake apart the whole hood? I thought it was a gonna be a simple swap.

Edit: Guess i'll be getting a new hood scoop insert as I have essentially cracked it trying to get the old back plastic plate out.

LOL, I saw the additional screw once I pried out the scoop insert. I was like "SOB!". Once I got the scoop insert out...finally...there is a plastic back plate that is some how help my 3 plastic screw like inserts that I could not get out. I just gave up lol.

Ah... I think Toyota sells the scoop pre-painted. Just need to find the right part number. If any questions just send me a PM.

Outerwears hydrophobic prefilter is on. This thing is an exact fit. Very snug.

Water beads off these prefilters. Makes cleaning a breeze. Also zero reduction in flow. Dyno’d the GTR with these on and it put down 1124 AWHP on a conservative tune. Since then bigger turbos and billet crank were thrown on. Expecting 1400 AWHP conservative, 1700 AWHP on kill.

Thanks! The main point being these outerwear prefilters don’t really affect flow. If they did I wouldn’t run them on the bigger power cars. They resist water very well, which I think is important in rain soaked Seattle.

Would you mind sharing what exactly you bought and replaced with titaniumworks stuff? Would love to go about doing the same.

I wish they could make a kit out of the stuff you ordered to make it easy for anyone else wanting to follow.

Thanks @awhitney for the redirect but unfortunately I don't have the answer you are looking for. When I purchased the runner from Formidable he told me that he had all of that work done by the local Cartoys when they installed the alpine halo head unit. Sorry can't be of more help.

This is one of my favorite 4th Gen builds I've come across...Just picked up a 2004 today. I have seen a shot of your car with the 18s on it, possibly before the 3" lift. What suspension mods were done at that point if any? Thank you!
