Soo guys I've been buying a lot of little odds and ends for the runner since Xmas, just waiting on the arrival to install them and post up pics but here's is one pic that's us going to slow my build wayyyyy down!!! I'm excited/scared only 22 but hey youve got to start at sometime!

after my tax return its going all to the 4runner for maintenance and lift, then its time to save, save, save!!!

Right on thank you! Ya I actually work right there in walnut creek. Man I see sooooo many modded runners around us. I wonder how many we've got on here.

Can't believe I didn't see this before, but congrats! That is amazing news and don't stress about your age. I was 23 when I had my daughter and it's been an amazing experience. Just have fun with him/her and enjoy every minute.

Sorry guys I have been such a horrible t4r.org member lately! Just working 50 hours a week, going to school, and dealing with a pregnant girlfriend really makes it hard to do anything!!!

Anyways I've been slowly ordering up my parts here is what I've actually bought and installed so far, don't have many pics due to the fact my girlfriend has a really nice camera but is scared to leave it in my man hands for just a few minutes. Hahaha
Installed so far:
Ultraguage
Clevis mounting brackets
Cobra cb with 4 ft fire stik
New oem clutch, pressure plate, pilot, throw out bearing
Fuel filter
Changed to clutch return spring
A Denso radiator
Leather shift boot with red stitching

What I have/on back order
Brand new oem lc 8 wraps
Front wheel bearing and all other shizznit
Rear shoes
Wheel bearings and seals
Bilstien 5125 rears
Tundra 5100 adjustables
Eibach 3 in springs
Steering rack bishings
End link bushings

Soo as you can see I've been making some progress!!! I've also gotten to go on two trips to the snow in the past 2 months here's some pics, not many action shots as we were all kind of in a hurry for a day trip.

Sooo in this picture it made me realize how bad I need a lift or new bumper. I drag my Damn tow package on everything!! Here I didn't have enough momentum and rolled back and the tow hitch got burried in the dirt. Soo since I can't afford a new bumper I'll probably modify the original to tuck up under my bumper. The plans are running through my head

Now this beautiful background is ruined by the ugly sight of my sagging rear end. It's almost as bad as the people that wear there pants around the knees hahahha

Sweet runner and Congrats, I'm also 22 with my first kid in the way June 25th due date. I know how it feels having to put everything on the back burner haha been trying to sell my other toys and save for mods kind of hard with being jobless since my car wreck.

My 4runner made a milestone 2 weeks ago! Now hopefully it will reach 500k, wouldn't that be sweet?

Soo when I did my clutch I had quite a bit of chatter and had slipped a few times so I figured i would get it done. My boss drop the price sooo much for me because he knows how broke I am. It was actually cheaper for me to get an OEM CLUTCH and all other parts then go with most after market clutch kits.

I didn't take any pictures while doing this job. It was a lot easier than I have heard a lot of people say it is on here. I got it done in about 7 hours. Which I believe is really good time in my opinion. Especially laying on the ground using a floor jack by myself....

The worst part was actually getting the floor jack up in there. I used a steel plate with 2 blocks of 6x6 pressure treated wood on top of it and a rachet strap to hold the tranny and t-case down. Also learned the old grease trick for pulling out the pilot bearing, and it works like a charm.

Here's mine its 5 mins from my house on my buddies property. which he lets me wheel and have bonfires on. Not bad for being in the bay area...

Ya man I hear ya too! I sold my little skiff and trailer for my lift, my dirt bike for parts, and my glock 21 because I need the money. Ohh my kid will be due July 18th not to far apart. I'm just thankful I've got a great job.

Ha I've eaten there one time and boy oh boy did i feel out of place! I work for walnut creek toyota, parts department. There is some ok wheeling spots around here to just play nothing to serious. Just head east or north for 2 hours and you get into the fun stuff.

So I've been running around for the past 2 weeks with no front sway bar. Boy even with completely shot bushings it makes a HUGE difference!!!

On Wednesday night I was coming home from my shop class and decided hey, why not take the back roads and enjoy a beautiful night? As I'm taking these super windy roads slow cautiously "because of the insane amount of body roll" some little ricer tries to over take a car in the opposing lane on a BLIND corner. Of course I am making that blind corner in opposing direction. I have to swerve sudden and hard. Man the amount of sway i got with that turning sudden movement scared me more then sewing the car in my lane. I swear I went up on 2 wheels!!! Anyways all was well and after a little skidding side to side I correctes myself and was fine.

Now I have new steering rack bushings in and got my sway bar/end link bushings on. Sway bar was of course easy.....but holy Hell!!! I tried to remove one tie rod end to get some droop in my steering rack. First I hit it with a little ball pin hammer then a BFH and still would not drop out no matter how hard I tries or with my neighbor prying and me pounding. So he brings out the "big guns" an air hammer....
Still no effing luck!!! Wtf???? How do you guys remove these??? I ended up just leaving tie rod ends attached and using the air hammer to knock out the bushings. But now I have a torn tie rod end boot.....

But if you're ever in the area, whether its cause you are eating at Ruth's or just doing a little shopping, I'd be more than happy to VIP you and keep your car out in front with all the Lambos and Aston Martins. Free of charge of course.

A ball joint puller would've bailed you out easier without being barbarick lol

You say removing the OTR's are PITA...try the UBJ without the puller.

Ya after I got all done my neighbor poked over and said "hey you want to use my pulled!?!?"
Dooooh where was he an hour ago!? I've removed them on other vehicles no problem but for some reason the just wouldn't budge on the runner...

Ohh man I bet that was fun Ehh?
