Forum is unusable

I am going to be here. Its anyone guess when it will be up and down. I wonder if the owners will sale this domain and forums down the road. As this really needs to stay up... As time goes on, there will be less and less 3rd gens.. However, the newer gens will keep going. Toyota still makes a 4 runner so traffic will move more towards the later models. In a few years here. If the price isn't horrible. I would consider buying the domain and forum but would need an army to keep it up.. Remove the ads except for the vendors. They can stay.

I been around the other forums. Some are OK. Fakebook is the worst. They even had groups get trade marked and have folks behaving badly.

A forum setup is probably the best layout for this type of material. Especially how this is optimized with google search so information can be found quickly. That will not happen on any of the social media platforms.

Since the Administrator/owner is making so much money from these forums it is in his best interest to keep the forum up and running for a long time to come, so I don't see the forum ending anytime in the near future.

As far as the outdated software/format the forum is running...I'm afraid the newest format from the same company probably isn't compatible with the outdated format and there maybe no way to update the forum and keep all the data/information that is on the forum right now, could lose it all and have too start over if it gets updated. :crybaby:

That is what I was afraid of... I am supersized it cant be done in steps though.... Like 2 middle versions then up to the latest.:-(

Indeed they are, which is unfortunate. From my experience, forums seem to have much less conflict, and much more courtesy. In addition, info gets lost very quickly in "Facebook oblivion." I will continue to use the forums as long as they continue to exist.

So the lower timing belt cover "gasket" broke into pieces when I went to put it back on. Surely I don't have to wait another week for a new one to come in? i wonder if I just applied a bead of rtv to the cover and let it cure before installing would do the trick?

I am using Brave browser on Win11 on a laptop, and it never stays in the verification screen more than a few seconds for me.

Actually, I'm ok on desktop. Mobile sucks. I have to login with username/password every single time on mobile. And there's no 'Remember me' option.

No problems lately on a variety of laptop and desktop computers. Never really used the forum on a mobile device except to look something up in an emergency a couple years back.

It's been hit or miss for me lately, but more often than not it's loading up without major issues, just running a bit slow. Crazy that this is STILL an ongoing issue that hasn't properly been resolved yet...
