Found a 2012 ltd, fsbo

I am excited about a new find in my home town in orlado. The 4runner is a 2012 fsbo limited with 11000 miles, clean car fax with one owner and maintenance records available. It is also my favorite color, pearl white with tan leather interior. Oddly, it does not have running boards so that is the ine thing i wanted that i thought all limited"s came with but not this one. It has the sliding tray in the rear so not third seat which is fine.

Anyway, a lady at work is selling it and she wants 34$ for it. A new 2014 will cost me 41.5 incl dealer fee so about 7500 in savings, not a slam dunk but a nice saving and a more comfortBle price point so if it is a very clean vehicle, this price is wholesale and pretty good.

As far as i can tell, the 2012 will have the entune system, navigation, push button start and many of the features offered today, though no memory or ac seats and no wood trim. Other than that i thinkmthey are the same, right?

Sounds like you are pricing 2WD vehicles? If so, I don't think that is a wholesale price.

$34k seems kind of steep. Not that 100k miles is a lot for a Runner but with that much, you should be able to finagle at least $1k off her asking price.

In service date is 18 mos ago so sold as a leftover 12 when 13s came out

Good caution re car fax. It does show in service date and the maintenance work that was done at dealership so at least that part was helpdul

That's a decent price. I paid the same for 2011 limited with 17000 miles in October. Wouldn't hurt to throw $30-32k offer at her.

IMO that price is too high for Florida, $32k tops. As for running boards people opt to remove them quite often so it may have had them at one point. $34k will get you an 2014 SR5 PREMIUM 4x4. I was working a deal with Central Florida Toyota using USAA (True Car was the same price)

Plus peace of mind knowing it's undamaged and can break it in yourself.

30-31K for the used one.

Hmmm...a 12 with 11,000 miles for $34,0000. A new 13 with no miles, auto running boards (and if you read my entire post) maybe bargain down by $1,500. Get the car for $36,500 or so. Plus, the new one is eligible for 2.9% financing (that's what I did) if your district offers it. To me a no brainer assuming the new one fits your budget. Now if you could get the 12 for $30-$32, thats a different story.
