Fox 2.5 DSC install questions

I am going to get truck aligned tomorrow after I recently installed a lift kit.
I wanted to check with the community and see if anyone has installed the 2.5 DCS with resits on a LE and what their experience has been.

I'm having a hell of a time getting pics off of my camera. I'm looking for photos of how much clearance there is between the sway bar corners and the springs. Photos of the sway bar and the radiator support brackets and the mounting points of the sway bar with the spacers provided by fox, which look identical to these

We used those supplied spacers and ended up having to file down one of the arms under the skid plate because it kept making making so much contact ( On the drivers side ) that it would not allow us to move the sway bar away from the coil overs. It also seems that the driver side of the sway bar was lower than the passenger side, is that normal?

I'm hoping someone has installed A similar setup on an LE and can provide some feedback.

I know my kit from FOX for the 4th Gen had spacers for the skid plate. Did yours come with spacers?

Very similar to this, [MENTION=8206]harper7[/MENTION] posted this on another thread but those spacers wouldn't have done much. We needed about 1/4 inch of clearance.. and it was only making contacts toward the driver side of the radiator support bracket.

I know my kit from FOX for the 4th Gen had spacers for the skid plate. Did yours come with spacers?

Danny, had the same issue with my install. Contacted FOX, they were quick to respond and try to resolve the problem but in the end we couldn't figure out what the heck was going on. I went over the install numerous times to try and find a mistake but everything was installed per FOXs instructions. Ended up just removing the front sway bar (rear still in place), vehicle still performs just fine without it. Just recently saw something about centering the sway bar. I'm probably not going to mess with it anymore but that's worth a shot. good luck

Good to know we aren't crazy. we moved and changed spacers and mounts and the thing would not budge. We had to yank on the sway bar in order for it to fit in the Sway bar mounts. That's really bizzare, thanks for sharing, i was starting to lose sleep over why everything didn't fit in place.

I have this setup on my LE, although I had a shop do my install. I know they had issues with the resi bracket on the passenger side and had to do some fabrication. I do have the front sway bar in place. Let me know if you would like any pics or anything. I'm running Bud Skids up front.

This is what we had to do in order for the sway bar to move enough to clear the spring. And so that sway bar clears the radiator support bracket..

I was still hearing a clunk and realized it was coming from the RCI skid plate, the part that holds the oil filter cover.

So I need another solution for where the bolt goes in here:

Or I will need to possibly drill a new hole for the bolt.

While that radiator support bracket is probably not to necessary (don't know about how much it aids in front end collision) I wouldn't have cut it. You shouldn't have to permanently modify anything on these vehicles to install new coilovers, I think it's kinda crappy on FOXs end....but i still love these coilovers!

I would really appreciate if someone would take photos of the space between the coils and the sway bar, specifically in an LE or SR5. The reason being is that my sway bar is way too close to the coils, Here are some photos...

I can barely fit a business card in between the space, so it stills clear but if it moves a hair than it will be hitting the coils.

I spoke to one off road shop who suggested to try to use an ICON sway bar relocation brackets that may have better offsets.

Any recommendation helps.

Bump... I need to get to the bottom of this (pun intended) If anyone has similar photos to what i posted, please share. Non FOX suspension please, King, Icon... I need to figure out how to create more spacing between the coils and sway bar.

Curious what is your caster set at? 4.0°+

EDIT: Is it also possible that the sawy bar relocation brackets are on backwards? Actually putting the sway bar closer instead of further away.

Manual alignment, no clue.

I have had mine installed for over a year without issue, I have KDSS though. BUT my caster is less than optimal, waiting to do this first...

Black Friday yielded me a good deal on a set of TC UCA's and some SAW springs I am waiting for a nice day to install.

I edited my first post, you may not have seen the edit, did you double check the relocation brackets to see if they are not on backwards?

IMO - fox has among the worst customer service there is. They know basically nothing about any of their products. (that's the general website customer service - I understand that the line for vendors may be better?)

How are the FJ Cruisers doing it?

Also with respect to spring clearance, are you sure the lower bushings are oriented the correct way. They are not uniform on both sides of the lower mount ball, so if installed backwards may make the difference in clearance? I don't remember off the top of my head which way is correct. I have KDSS so no interference issues.

If that's the case, they would be even dumber, because the sway bar relocation brackets are not used with KDSS. I'm not giving them any credit though, because they sent me the install instructions for an FJ, so there were no notes on how to make their reservoir brackets work with KDSS. And of course, FOX support was clueless.

That's a good point and even more confusing. I have not clue at this point, I don't feel safe taking my truck off the beaten path and they haven't provided much support.

I actually installed them without adjusting them at all. It seems like they came set to 3", because I have 3" rear springs I feel like it would look way more raked out if they were lower.
