Front Bumpers for 5th Gens

Any Hefty Fab bumpers shipped yet?



Ready to order a bumper, but was hoping to see a Hefty bumper with grille/light guards before pulling the trigger. I like the looks of the Hefty for 2014/2015 4R, but am on the fence between Hefty and Shrock. Had Hefty sliders on my Xterra that were rock solid so confident in the quality.



The Hefty deposit thread dates back 5 months which makes me wonder what the ultimate wait will be if none have shipped yet.

I have received mine Dec 28, it was a 11 week wait

My Aluminum bumper for my '13 is being installed by hefty February 8th. Will be just short of 4 months wait

I'm thinking something like All Pro's 1st gen taco bumpers that are around 50 pounds...

Incdentally, the OP is getting out of date. Lots of missing options. Budbuilt hidden, Pelfreybilt, VPR, ProLine, plus things like the Steelcraft Grille Guard.

Also lots of rear bumper options now.

Anyone can jump in and update the thread. I will be happy to add it to the modifications sticky but I am not going to update the thread. When I write something up it's usually general and engineering type of write ups. I'll let you guys figure out what's new and good for the 4Runner.

At this angle I like the bumper more than my initial impression, the far edges on the outside just stick out a bit far for me. Although for you in the northwest or even east coasters I can see value in keeping brush off. Something we don't have here.

That's a wide angle shot so it's going to exagerate the proportions. Here's a longer lens shot. It doesn't stick out that much further than the stock flares. And I'd rather have additional protection, otherwise just run the stock plastic front end I guess.

While I was ordering sliders from Metaltech today, they mentioned that they are working on a steel bumper for the 5th Gen 4Runner. Definitely available by end of year and potentially by summer.

Yup, the pic looking towards the front shows what you mean. I've got scratches and scrapes on my stock, it's starting to get eaten up a bit, hoping to avoid a new front bumper until I'm ready for a new suspension, we will see.
