Front left wheel bearing...toast at 63,000mi

Interesting that so many people seem to have the same bearing failing. Thats the heavier side in our 4runners, right?

I think its more of a Toyota thing. I've had to replace wheel bearings in my 07 Tacoma (front drivers side) and 04 4Runner (front drivers side). Its just part of the deal. They can run for 30k miles or they can run for 100k miles... If one goes out just replace it and drive on.

I've done my driver's side front (at about 90k miles) and will probably do the passenger side before long as a preventative thing since I'm now at 103k miles.

I`m sure most run trails faster that I do. I have to wonder how much it helps to air down. I usually go to 20 for most trails to soften the ride then while airing up wonder if I need to do it as often as I do. Reading all the bearing posts may keep me airing down for most trails.
