Front License Plate

Stupid, unimportant question... I know.

I bought a decorative, collegiate license plate for the front of my car. It then took me four different tries to get the correct screws. I go to put it on last night and realize the holes on my vehicle are farther apart than the license plate.

In looking to buy one I don't remember there being much emphasis on the length between the holes; I assumed it was a universal size. Has anyone else had this problem?

The holes are probably there for a bracket that the plate attaches to. I have one on the front of my 2019 ORP.

yup. i drilled new holes into the license plate. and while i took the 10 minutes to do that, the NYPD came and gave me a ticket for not having a front license plate.

I bought my 4R without a Toyota front plate bracket and bought one of these instead of paying crazy OEM parts prices:

Works great!
