Picked this up from a junkyard in north hollywood to replace my rear axle I recently bent.
Ended up deciding to use it just to build a jig/fixture off so I could cut up and build a heavy duty housing out of my bent one.
1st pic is the housing, 2nd pic is my jig and new axle in process with 250 wall DOM tubes.
I'd rather try rebuild mine than have to cut all the stock tabs, spring plates, panhard mounts... off this perfectly good stock one as I converted to leaf springs.
Had a hard time getting a junkyard to separate just the housing as they like to sell the complete axle for big $.
