FS: Clean, built 2000 4Runner Limited 4x4 Eastern NC

I found a 99 in San Diego with 98,000 miles and it's loaded. ARB front and rear bumpers, OME springs and torsion bars, factory rear e-locker and ARB air locker up front, 4.88 gears, 35's tires, Safari snorkel, roof rack, dual batteries, ARB fridge, Warn winch............and more. I really like the rig and owner said he was coming to Virginia in May and would bring it to me, the price is holding me back. He wants $21,000 and will not come off it. If I bought a 99 with those miles and added all that, I would have more than $21,000 in it but how many times have you heard of people getting all their money back on mods? Truck is in great condition but like everything, age take a toll on things. The mods also have some age on them. I'm kicking around several ideas right now, looking at a 82 FJ40, looking at another 80, DC Taco, even looking for a 5th Gen Trail. It's good to have options ;) Good luck on selling the 4Runner, you did a great job on it.

NICE Ride(s)! Yeah, the TLC's sweet too. Regarding your Gen 3, I may have to consult with my "budget wizard" to see if picking up such a sweet toy is an option.
One question though. Is it possible to see/take any pics of the rust spots from their other sides? I ask, as I know that rust is nasty, in it's habit of eating things from the inside out. Ergo my query.

Took a few more pictures that hopefully will help, added a key for size reference - they are pretty small spots. You can see from the inside of the rear fender that only a small part of the rust has actually gone all the way thru. It's stayed pretty similar for a number of years, shouldn't be a problem down the road but if it really bugged you it wouldn't take much work work to cut it out and weld in some clean metal.

I sold the factory 5 stars several years ago so no extra wheels, the KM2's aren't too bad on the road but a nice set of All Terrains would certainly ride better. Let me know if I can be of any more help and if you're definitely interested I'll be happy to discuss things further on the phone.



 
Bringing this thread back to life, had some reasonable offers last spring but didn't find the right buyer and decided to keep the 4runner for another year. Definitely ready to add another Land Cruiser to the garage so it's for sale again and more motivated to make a deal this time! Mileage is at 151,799 as of tonight. Other details in the initial post are the same.

Lowering the asking price to $14,000, love to find a good home for a great rig!

The 80 has factory lockers but is not for sale, hopefully it never will be but I said the same thing about my 4Runner once so I'll let you know if that ever changes.

I have pretty much the same exact vehicle but stock, and I think it looks homely. This gives me something to aim for.
