Just ordered for 3rd gen. For some reason, on our old 3rd gen with the same lift the drivability wasn't nearly this bad, hoping this makes a big difference. Have that body wobble and just doesn't feel planted. Just got new tires and shocks installed so will probably get a fresh alignment afterwards too.

What kind of paint is everyone using? I am going to sand the entire axle and paint it all.

If you haven't done the rear control arm bushings then you should. It will make a ton of difference. As for paint I just used some rustolium black. but I live where rust isn't an issue.

if youre doing the entire axle, i recommend something better than paint. POR15 is a great option. if you dont want to go that route, VHT makes a good epoxy paint i used when i did my PCK. regular old spray paint will work, but it will chip over time.

I recently did all new bushings on the rear, as well as new shocks and tires too. Can't wait to get this bracket installed tomorrow to see the difference.

Hey there,
I have 5th gen with kdss with 2” lift on the rear. Will this work? Will there be any issues with kdss? My guess is no but i am no engineer.

Wow, what a massive difference this made. Lifted 3rd gen now feels and handles like a stock 4Runner again....enjoyment of driving just went way up. Anyone considering this, just get it done!

let me check stock and make sure I have an extra frame side bracket. I believe I do, but my Dad & I are sorting new inventory right now so it'll be a few days before I have my final count.

Thanks for the offer, but I don't split kits once they've been sorted and packed - there just isn't enough margin at this price point to undo that work. I order these in bulk to keep the costs in line, and occasionally there is an overrun of one side or the other - in those instances I'm happy to sell off the extra bracket if needed.

Turns out the fellow who posted didn't need an extra bracket after all, which was good because I ended up with no overruns after sorting & packing.

not traditionally, no - I try to keep the costs pricing under $100 where I can, so there's not a ton of overhead to play with on these. My distributors might though, definitely worth a look! (SRQ, OptOffroad, Outgear)

Payment sent in for a 4th gen bracket! I'm lifted ~3.5" and the bar is not at all level and the roll center has definitely changed from the lift. Hopefully, this reduces the bit of wobble and makes it more planted!

i used VHT expoxy paint. its held up good so far. im sure any decent spray paint will work fine as long as you get your area very clean (the important part, so the paint has something to stick to).
