has anyone recently done this on a limited or sr5? I have a 2012 limited and wanted to swap out the half skid plate for the full TE one for the fuel tank. I don't need a heavy duty one, OEM is fine for me. it's simply too expensive to get the heavy duty ones shipped up from the states right now
folks that did this, did you have to create any new mounting points or was it as simple as screwing onto existing unused holes that the TE skid would use and/or ones from the previous skid plate. I was speaking with a local dealer who warned that it might not be as simple as a direct bolt on for my 2012 limited when he ran my VIN. he said part number 7760660190 wasn't showing up as a fitment option in his system - only the half skid. perhaps it was simply defaulting to the oem half skid that comes with the sr5 and limited. part dealers online websites say that full skid part fits the limited, so I'm a bit confused
