Fully Synthetic to Blend-Synthetic?????

Hi,
I'm on a maintenance periode but

I'm now on a really sensitive question: Should I switch from fully synthetic to Blend Synthetic or not?

This will harm my 130K engine?

I'm running now on TOTAL QUARTZ 9000 Fully Synthetic (Total is kind of French Chevron). I don't have any huge problem except a leak on the valve. I replaced the valve 3 months ago, no more leak... I went to the dealer and saw a Mobil Super High Milages, MSHM is a Blend Synthetic oil et people seems to be really happy with as it have seal additive against leak etc...

So Can I switch from Fully Synthetic to Blend or conventional? This will harm my baby's engine? What is better? Your advices will be welcomed

It won't make a difference. Your motor was designed to use conventional oils, so you can switch from dino juice to synthetic or back or anything in between without harming anything.

Very true, I have switched from full synthetic to blend often in other cars, in the 4runner I have only run dino or just blend, never fully synthetic, kinda afraid it will develop a leak if I do like my other cars did.

I have used full synthetic and switched to synthetic blend without any problems. I use Valvoline high mileage synthetic blend.

It is priced very well at Walmart $17 for the 5 quart jug.

absolutely. You can go back and forth as you please. The only saying about not being able to switch back is an old wives tale.

You CAN without any problems whatsoever, the real question is WHY the hell would you?

You won't be saving any real money and only getting an inferior oil in the process, so why not stick with the better oil unless getting it in your area is like finding buried treasure or something.

I have all kind of oil brand here: Mobil 1, castrol or valvoline... But I was just curious about the Mobil super high milage as when I searched on Internet people seems to be really happy and seem this blend synthetic make their high milage engine run really well and the seal additive seems to be a really good features for an old engine...

Other members have used it and liked it. It is a good oil for the price, at least here in the US. No harm in using it.

Fuchs is Australian, no I don't have it here I have : castrol, Mobil 1, kendall, total, caltex delo, zic, valvoline, wurth, and toyota motor oil

Stick with the fully synthetic. You have tropical heat and humidity to deal with and synthetic will not sludge up or lose its viscosity.
